Guru Nanak College of Education For Women has been established in 1966 on the name of Great Guru i.e. Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Motto of this institution is based on the philosophy of Guru Nanak “Truth is higher but still higher is truthful living”.
The College has celebrated its Silver Jubilee in December’1991 with great fervour and enthusiasm. The college is affiliated to Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar and recognized by UGC, NCTE and accredited by NAAC.

The college offers 110 seats in different combinations of Physical Sciences, Mathematics, English, Social Studies, Economics, Commerce, Punjabi, Art and Physcial Education (Teaching Subjects)
